RoCode vs RoGenie
The short answer
RoGenie and RoCode both build in the Roblox Studio place you have open. RoGenie has more tools, more than 60 models and asset generation through a Windows companion app, and its free plan is measured in tokens. Its billing page says refund handling is not live yet. RoCode gives 1 free credit a day, Pro is $9.99 a month, it inserts ready-made UI kits and themed worlds in one step, a test robot plays the game after a build, and any payment can be refunded in full within 14 days.
Checked 23 October 2026 against rogenie.ai, its billing page and its terms.
RoGenie here means the Roblox AI agent at rogenie.ai. Both tools are agents: you describe what you want, and the agent edits the place you have open in Studio. The differences are in setup, how use is counted, what each adds on top, and what happens if you want your money back.

| Feature | RoCode | RoGenie |
|---|---|---|
| What you install and how it connects | A free plugin from the Roblox Creator Store, in Roblox Studio on Windows or Mac. The chat runs at rocode.app in a desktop browser. Studio connects by itself when it is signed in to the same Roblox account (plugin 3.9.13 or newer), otherwise with a one-time 8-character code. | The RoGenie Studio plugin, which you drop into Studio's plugins folder and restart Studio, then pair with a 6-digit code. You chat on rogenie.ai. An optional Windows companion, the RoGenie Bridge, adds AI mesh, material and texture generation and image uploads. |
| Works on the place you already have open | Yes. It reads the objects and scripts a step needs, then creates and edits them in the place you have open. | Yes. Its FAQ says it reads your live scene, follows your Studio selection and edits exact lines with targeted diffs. It can also connect several Studio sessions. |
| What it builds | Scripts, parts and UI, one feature or one round of a game at a time, with 27 Studio tools. Ready-made UI kits: 10 screens (HUD, pet inventory, store, daily rewards, item shop, egg hatching, rebirth, settings, daily quests, loading screen) in 5 themes, animated, with working server scripts, inserted in one step. Themed world islands (volcano, desert canyon, jungle or snow) in one call. | Full games such as tycoons, obbies, simulators and FPS games, with 59 optional tools in 9 groups, including terrain, lighting, constraints, animations, a declarative UI builder and Toolbox and Creator Store asset insertion. |
| Playtests its own work | Yes, within limits. After a build its test robot can play the game in Studio: it walks, touches parts, clicks buttons, presses keys and equips tools, then reports each check as PASS or FAIL (plugin 3.9.11 or newer; keys and clicks need 3.9.15 or newer). The agent decides when to test, and it cannot tell you whether the game is fun. | Yes. Its home page says it plays the game like a real player in a Play session, reads the runtime state, takes screenshots, scans geometry and UI layout, profiles performance, then fixes and replays. |
| Undo | Each batch of changes is an undo point in Studio's own history, so Ctrl+Z takes it back. | Undo and redo through Studio's change history, plus named checkpoints of a subtree, per its tool list. |
| Models | DeepSeek V4 Flash on every plan. GLM 5.3 Flash and Claude Sonnet 5.5 from Pro, Claude Opus 5.5 from Studio, GPT-6 Astra on Ultra. Any paid plan can also run your own OpenRouter key. | More than 60 built-in models from Claude, GPT, Gemini, DeepSeek, Grok, Qwen, Kimi, GLM, MiniMax and others, with automatic routing, plus your own keys for OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, OpenRouter and others. |
| Free tier | 1 credit a day (2 on the day you sign up), refilled at 00:00 UTC, no card. After a few builds, free accounts are asked to join the RoCode Discord to keep getting free credits. | 250K tokens per 5 hours and 2M a month, on every built-in model, with each model using quota at its own multiplier. |
| Price | Pro $9.99 a month (150 credits), Studio $19.99 (320), Ultra $29.99 (500). Credit packs from $4.99 on any plan. | Starter $5 a month, Builder $19, Pro $49, Studio $99, each with a token limit per 5 hours and per month. |
| Refunds | In full within 14 days of any payment, including renewals and credit packs. | Its billing page, last updated 7 June 2026, says refund handling is not live yet and asks you to use its support page for refund requests. |
In practice
What a RoCode run looks like
Where RoGenie is stronger
- More tools. Its home page lists 59 optional tools in 9 groups, among them terrain sculpting, lighting presets, constraints and joints, animation editing and Toolbox search and insert. RoCode has 27 Studio tools and does not search the Toolbox, sculpt terrain or make animations.
- Asset generation. With its optional Windows companion, the RoGenie Bridge, it generates meshes, materials and textures with Roblox's own AI generators and uploads images. RoCode does not generate meshes.
- A deeper playtest. It plays the game in a real Play session, takes screenshots while it runs and profiles performance. RoCode's test robot reports PASS or FAIL for each check and takes no screenshots while the game runs.
- More models and more ways to pay for them: more than 60 built in, and your own keys for several providers that keep working after the plan quota runs out. RoCode offers five models by plan, or your own OpenRouter key on a paid plan.
- A cheaper first paid step. Its Starter plan is $5 a month. RoCode's first plan is Pro at $9.99, though RoCode credit packs start at $4.99 and work on the free plan too.
- A built-in script editor with two-way sync and Rojo export.
Where RoCode is stronger
- A refund window. Any RoCode payment can be refunded in full within 14 days. RoGenie's billing page says refund handling is not live yet.
- Ready-made game UI in one step: 10 screens, from a HUD with coins and gems to egg hatching, rebirth and daily quests, in 5 themes, animated and wired to working server scripts. RoGenie builds UI with a general UI builder; its pages list no ready-made kits.
- Themed world islands (volcano, desert canyon, jungle or snow) built in one call.
- Simpler setup. The RoCode plugin installs from the Creator Store, and Studio connects by itself when it is signed in to the same Roblox account. RoGenie's plugin goes into Studio's plugins folder by hand and pairs with a code.
- Simpler counting. A RoCode credit is what a run costs, and the chat shows what each run used. RoGenie counts tokens over a rolling 5-hour window and a monthly total, with a different multiplier for each model.
Pricing
What each one costs
RoCode
$9.99a month for Pro, or 1 free credit a day
- Free Starter plan: 1 credit a day, 2 on the day you sign up and 2 on the day you join the RoCode Discord, refilled at 00:00 UTC, on DeepSeek V4 Flash, no card. After a few builds, free accounts are asked to join the RoCode Discord to keep getting free credits.
- Pro $9.99 a month (150 credits), Studio $19.99 (320), Ultra $29.99 (500), in US dollars before tax. Billed yearly, each plan costs 30% less with the same credits.
- A credit measures what a run costs to compute. An advanced task uses about 4 credits and a standard task on DeepSeek V4 Flash about 0.4, at current rates. Long tasks use more.
- Credit packs from 50 credits for $4.99 up to 1,200 credits for $99.99 never expire, and you can buy them on any plan, the free one included.
- Any payment can be refunded in full within 14 days. Paddle is the seller on your receipt.

- Paid through Stripe. Cancel from the billing portal and keep access to the end of the period. Its billing page says refund handling is not live yet.
