What it is

An agent with hands, not a chat window

RoCode is an AI agent for Roblox Studio, not a chatbot you copy-paste from. You describe what you want on rocode.app, and RoCode writes the Luau, creates and edits scripts and instances, and builds in the place you already have open.

Each batch of changes is marked as an undo point in Studio's own undo history. If something comes out wrong, Ctrl+Z takes it back step by step, the same way any other change in Studio would. You can also dictate prompts with voice input instead of typing them.

We also make free Roblox creator tools, such as a DevEx calculator, a thumbnail size checker and a Luau playground. Our library of copy-ready Roblox Studio scripts is free too. None of them needs an account.

How it works

Three steps. The third one is the point.

  1. Install the plugin

    Get the RoCode plugin from the Creator Store and open it in Studio. If Studio is signed in to the same Roblox account you use on RoCode, it connects by itself; otherwise type the plugin's one-time 8-character code into your chat.

  2. Say what you want

    Type it in plain language at rocode.app. You do not have to write any Luau yourself.

  3. It builds in your place

    Chat runs in a desktop browser; the plugin executes every change in the place you have open. The chat shows whether the plugin is connected, next to the message box.

Older forum posts and listings describe an earlier version of RoCode. This is current as of . Dates are in UTC.

The v3 post (20 May 2026) and older copies of this site measured the daily allowance in units of text the AI reads and writes instead. 1 credit a day, refilled at 00:00 UTC, with no card. Usage is counted in credits since 3 October 2026.
Free credits and Discord Older copies of this site said Starter gave 2 free credits a day. From 17 October 2026 they said 1 credit a day with 2 on the sign-up day and the Discord join day, and that free accounts were asked to join the RoCode Discord after a few builds. 1 credit a day, refilled at 00:00 UTC, with no extra credit on the sign-up day and no Discord step. Free credits do not need the Discord, and neither does paying. Since 24 October 2026.
Payments Payments handled by Stripe (older copies of this site's privacy policy). Payment happens in Paddle's checkout, with Paddle as the merchant of record, since 25 September 2026.
Pairing Get a login code from the website, paste it into the plugin and click Connect to Web (the earlier Creator Store listing). The plugin shows a one-time 8-character code that you type into the web chat, since 27 September 2026. Studio then asks you to confirm the account.
Connecting Studio You type the plugin's one-time 8-character code into the web chat to connect (older copies of this site). Studio connects by itself when it is signed in to the same Roblox account you use on RoCode, with plugin 3.9.13 or newer, since 16 October 2026. Otherwise you still use the 8-character pairing code.
Where you chat “Stay in Studio. No more alt tabbing.” The v2.0 post said the assistant lived in a widget next to your code. You chat at rocode.app in a desktop browser, and the free RoCode plugin makes the changes in the place you have open in Studio.
Models RoCode's beta post on the Roblox DevForum (5 December 2025) said it was “trained specifically on Luau and the current Roblox API”. The v3 post (20 May 2026) said a custom model built only for Luau would come later. Third-party models through OpenRouter, by plan: DeepSeek V4 Flash on every plan, GLM 5.3 Flash and Claude Sonnet 5.5 from Pro, Claude Opus 5.5 from Studio, GPT-6 Astra on Ultra. RoCode has no models of its own, and the custom model from the v3 post is not part of RoCode. What RoCode adds is the Studio side: the plugin and its tools that read your place, build in it, check scripts and playtest. The chat shows the models' real names since 3 October 2026.
Free models GPT-OSS 120B as a second free model next to DeepSeek V4 Flash (older copies of this site and its changelog). DeepSeek V4 Flash is the only free model in the picker, since 17 October 2026. GPT-OSS 120B is now a backup model: if DeepSeek V4 Flash does not respond, it can finish the run.
Images Images in a message needed Claude Sonnet 5.5, Claude Opus 5.5 or GPT-6 Astra (older copies of this site's docs). You can attach images on every model. On DeepSeek V4 Flash, a message with images runs on DeepSeek V4.1 Flash, which reads images.
Prices The pricing page at the credits launch listed Studio and Ultra at higher monthly prices with more credits, plus a fourth plan, Max. Studio is $19.99 a month with 320 credits and Ultra $29.99 a month with 500 credits, since 11 October 2026. Pro stays $9.99 a month with 150 credits. Max is no longer offered, and earlier subscribers keep their price and credits until they change plan.
Name RoCode.ai (older page titles on this site). RoCode, at www.rocode.app. Since 2 October 2026, rocode.ai redirects to www.rocode.app. The Studio plugin is listed as RoCode AI.
Playtests RoCode does not press Play or run playtests (older copies of this site). With plugin 3.9 or newer, in Build mode, RoCode can press Play for a short playtest (up to 30 seconds) and read the errors. With plugin 3.9.11 or newer, it can also control a test character to check the game works.
Screenshots RoCode does not take screenshots of your game (older copies of this site). With plugin 3.9.14 or newer, since 19 October 2026, a Build run takes screenshots in Studio of what it built, in edit mode, and an AI model checks them so RoCode can fix what looks wrong. Its playtests take no screenshots.

RoCode (rocode.app) is not Roo Code, the VS Code extension, and not RoCodes.gg or rocode.org.
