DevEx calculator: Robux to USD
A DevEx calculator converts Robux to US dollars at Roblox’s published Developer Exchange rate. This one knows all three rates Roblox uses today, and works both ways.
- Three rates, dated and linked
- Robux to USD and back
- No login; nothing leaves your browser
The short answer
As of 18 October 2026, Roblox’s Developer Exchange (DevEx) pays $0.0038 per Earned Robux, so the 30,000 Robux minimum is $114. Robux earned before 5 September 2025 cash out at the old $0.0035, and eligible spending by age-checked U.S. players 18 or over earns $0.0054. All three are before payout fees and any tax withholding.

Which purchases earn the U.S. 18+ rate
- Developer products, passes, subscriptions and private servers bought in an eligible game by U.S. players who verified they are 18 or over, through facial age estimation or a government ID (Roblox docs, checked 18 Oct 2026).
- Paid access in Robux, from 21 Sep 2026. Roblox announced this in a DevForum update on 12 Oct 2026; the docs page does not list it yet.
- Not in-game avatar items, says the same DevForum post.
- A game is eligible when its avatars are R15, a custom human rig with 15 or more parts or joints, a custom non-human rig, or not shown at all. Any R6 option makes it ineligible, and Roblox runs checks in the background.
- Group payouts keep the 18+ rate, and Roblox cashes those Robux out before any others.
How it works
How the math works
One multiplication, at the rate your Robux earned.
- 1
Pick what you know
Robux to dollars, dollars to Robux, or a balance that mixes rates.
- 2
Pick the rate
Standard for most Robux, the old rate for Robux earned before 5 Sep 2025, U.S. 18+ for eligible spending.
- 3
Read the gross payout
It is before your payout provider’s fees and any tax withholding. What comes off.
The formula
dollars = Earned Robux × rate
30,000 × $0.0038 = $114.00
200,000 × $0.0038 = $760.00
Robux = dollars ÷ rate, rounded up
$500 ÷ $0.0038 = 131,579 Robux
$500 ÷ $0.0054 = 92,593 Robux
-
By hand
- Multiply your Earned Robux by the rate
- Look up which of the three rates applies
- Work out Roblox’s cash-out order yourself
-
In a spreadsheet
- One formula for each rate
- Update it whenever Roblox changes a rate
- No check against the 30,000 minimum unless you add one
-
With this calculator
- All three rates, dated and sourced
- Roblox’s cash-out order for a mixed balance
- The 30,000 minimum checked as you type

Getting paid
Before you cash out
The figure above is gross. Here is what happens between it and your account.
How a cash out goes
- Roblox sends a DevEx portal registration link. Add your payment method and tax form within one week.
- Review takes around 10 business days the first time and around 5 after that.
- One completed request per calendar month. Roblox cannot cancel a request once you submit it.
- Roblox may ask for ID in some cases, such as a name that does not match or a recently compromised account.
What comes off the dollar figure
- Payout provider fees, by method: international PayPal is $1 plus 2%, up to $21.
- Converting to your local currency may cost another 1.9% to 3%.
- From 1 Nov 2026 DevEx payments count as royalties. Outside the U.S., 0% to 30% U.S. withholding may apply to payments tied to sales to U.S. players, depending on your country and any tax treaty.
- Without valid tax information, 24% U.S. backup withholding may apply to the whole payout. U.S. creators with a valid W-9 have no U.S. withholding.
- Roblox does not give tax advice, and neither does this page.

FAQ
DevEx questions

How many Robux do you need to DevEx?
30,000 Earned Robux in your account. You also need to be 13 or over, with a verified email, a DevEx portal account, a W-9 or W-8 tax form on file and an account in good standing. Robux you bought do not count.
How much is 30,000 Robux in DevEx?
$114 at the standard $0.0038 rate, $105 for Robux earned before 5 September 2025, and $162 at the U.S. 18+ rate, before payout fees and any tax withholding.
How much is 100k or 1 million Robux in DevEx?
At the standard rate, 100,000 Earned Robux is $380 and 1,000,000 is $3,800. At the U.S. 18+ rate they would be $540 and $5,400.
How long does DevEx take?
Roblox says to allow around 10 business days for a first request and around 5 business days for later ones, plus the time your payout method takes. You can have one completed request per calendar month, and Roblox cannot cancel a request once you submit it.
Can you DevEx under 18?
Yes, from age 13. The U.S. 18+ rate depends on the age of the players who spend in your game, not on yours. Roblox Wallet, which Roblox plans to open in December 2026, is for U.S. creators aged 18 or over.
Can you DevEx group funds?
Yes, when the group’s funds are real earnings. Group payouts count as Earned Robux and keep their rate: Robux the group earned before 5 September 2025 cash out at $0.0035, and U.S. 18+ Robux at $0.0054.
Can you DevEx Robux from donations or Limiteds?
Not Robux you receive from transfers, Robux from reselling items, or Robux you bought. The 10% a game earns on in-game Robux transfers does count as Earned Robux.
Is there tax on DevEx?
Roblox’s payout provider charges fees that depend on the method, for example up to $21 for international PayPal, and 1.9% to 3% to convert to your local currency. From 1 November 2026 DevEx payments count as royalties, and U.S. tax withholding may apply depending on your tax information. This calculator shows the gross amount and is not tax advice.
Is DevEx going away?
In the U.S., Roblox plans to replace it. Its DevForum post of 11 September 2026 says Roblox Wallet opens in December 2026 for U.S. creators aged 18 or over, paying US dollars at the same DevEx rates, and that DevEx stays available in the U.S. until mid-2027. It stays longer in other regions.

Make the game that earns it
Earned Robux start with things players want to buy. RoCode, an independent AI agent for Roblox Studio, builds the scripts that sell them in the place you have open.
The loops are illustrations of what each guide’s finished code does, not recordings of a RoCode run.
Free credits every day, no card. RoCode cannot create passes or spend Robux: you create the pass in Creator Hub, and RoCode writes the scripts that sell it and give its perks. To do it by hand, follow the game pass guide.
