> RoCode is an AI agent for Roblox Studio. You describe a feature in a web chat at rocode.app, and a free Studio plugin lets RoCode write the Luau, create or edit scripts and instances in the place you have open, and compile-check its scripts. It is not a chatbot you copy and paste from.

## Capabilities
- Generates multi-script Luau systems from a plain-language prompt
- Reads and edits the scripts in your open place, searches the hierarchy, and changes properties
- Builds structures, creates UI, and sets lighting properties directly in Studio
- 25 Studio tools (24 with a plugin older than 3.9), 12 ready-made structures, and UI templates for shop, inventory, HUD, dialog, leaderboard, notification and settings screens
- Compile-checks the scripts it writes inside Studio before it finishes
- With plugin 3.9 or newer, Build mode can press Play for a test of up to 30 seconds, collect server and client errors and warnings, then stop the test
- Reads Studio Output when asked, including Server and Client lines from playtests you run, to fix errors
- Each batch of changes is marked as an undo point in Studio, so Ctrl+Z takes them back batch by batch
- Two modes in the chat: Build makes changes in your place; Ask answers questions about it using reading tools only and never changes it
- Each run starts with your Studio camera position and up to 8 selected objects, so "this" can mean your selection
- Image attachments (PNG, JPG or WebP, up to 4 per message) with Claude Sonnet 5.5, Claude Opus 5.5 or GPT-6 Astra

## Limits
- Playtests: Build mode with plugin 3.9 or newer can run a short playtest (up to 30 seconds, at most 2 a run) that reads errors and warnings; Ask mode never runs one, and older plugins cannot start one
- Does not simulate player input, take screenshots, generate meshes or animations, sculpt or paint terrain, insert Toolbox or Creator Store assets, or publish your place

- The current plugin connects only to RoCode's server at relay.rocode.app, never uploads the place file and makes no calls to Roblox's web APIs; when a step asks, RoCode can read any object or script in the open place, and what it reads goes through OpenRouter to the provider hosting the model; each batch of changes is an undo point in Studio; deletes go to a RoCodeTrash folder in ServerStorage (plugin 3.8.5 or newer); Ask mode is read-only; sign-in uses no RoCode password and payment runs in Paddle's own checkout. ## Requirements
- Roblox Studio on Windows or macOS, the free RoCode plugin from the Creator Store, and rocode.app in a desktop browser (phones are not supported)
- Connect once: the plugin shows a one-time 8-character code (valid for 15 minutes), you type it into the chat, then confirm the account in Studio
- Sign in with an email code, Google, Roblox or Discord

- Studio and Ultra subscribers from before the current prices keep their price and credits until they change plan
- Annual plans are billed once a year and get the same credits as monthly, refilled every 30 days
- A credit measures the AI cost of a run. Each run shows the credits it used.
- Credits a task: on GLM 5.3 it is usually about 4 credits a task. Claude Sonnet 5.5, Claude Opus 5.5 and GPT-6 Astra use credits faster
- Advanced tasks run on GLM 5.3 (about 4 credits each) and standard tasks on DeepSeek V4 Flash (about 0.4), at current rates. Pro is about 35 advanced tasks a month or 375 standard tasks, Studio about 80 or 800, Ultra about 125 or 1,250. Long tasks use more
- Paid plans can use your own OpenRouter key (billed by OpenRouter, uses no RoCode credits)
- Credit packs from 50 credits for $4.99 up to 1,200 credits for $99.99; they never expire
